Day Trip to Quepos

During a rainy day and flat surf in Manuel Antonio, we took a day trip to Quepos. It's a small town 7km north along the Pacific Coast. The bus from Jaco actually goes to Quepos, and then you take a local bus half an hour to Manuel Antonio.

So we took the bus back to Quepos, bought an umbrella, and walked around town. Not much to see really, but we needed something to do. We heard that the beach here is polluted and not recommended for swimming, so we went down to check it out. There is no surfing here either as Quepos is a sportfishing town.

This is the "beach" - not really developed as a sand beach due to it's use. It was raining pretty good for us while we were there.

Rainy day under the umbrella. This is one of Kyle's favorite pics of me. So I told him I'd post it for him.

And here we are, back at our hostel, playing cards to pass the time away. In Manuel Antonio, it would rain brifly in the early afternoon, and then it would rain for most of the evening after supper.

Back on the bus...next stop back to Quepos to catch the bus south to Dominical.
